Coante, one of Turkey's pioneering quartz surface manufacturers, has achieved a significant environmental milestone with its Solar Power Plant (SPP) investment, aligned with its eco-friendly and sustainable production philosophy.
The 4 MW capacity SPP system, commissioned at two production facilities and one logistics warehouse in Mugla Mentese, generates approximately 8.76 million kWh of electricity annually, covering about 50% of the total electricity needs of the factories.
Thanks to this investment, Coante has reached an important milestone in its goals of reducing its carbon footprint and increasing energy efficiency by expanding the use of renewable energy in its production processes. The SPP project draws attention not only in terms of energy production but also as a tangible reflection of Coante's eco-friendly production philosophy.
Coante General Manager Hakan Ercan made the following statement regarding the investment:

In addition to energy investments, Coante saves 615,965 kWh of electricity annually through its 100% water recovery system implemented at its production facilities. This system enables the complete recycling and reintroduction of water used in production back into the process. This contributes to both the conservation of water resources and improved energy efficiency.
While Coante continues its leadership in sustainability within the industry through eco-friendly technologies developed with its nature-respecting production philosophy, it also aims to further increase its renewable energy usage rate in the future and achieve a transition to 100% green energy across all its facilities.
